On the night of his twenty-first birthday, a domino effect of unfortunate events leads Liam Cassidy to a chance encounter with a stranger. What he thinks will be nothing more than a moment of shared refuge in a bar bathroom takes a turn when Liam finds the same stranger waiting in his hotel room that night.
Jonah Prince is just trying to survive another night, same as he has done since his life derailed at seventeen. When his services are requested as a surprise for someone’s birthday, the last person he expects to see is the man from the bar who showed him kindness.
It doesn’t take long in a room together to see the cracks in Jonah’s facade. He’s afraid of someone, even if he can’t say it out loud. Hungry, guarded, and jumping at shadows, it’s clear he is in desperate need of a break, and Liam is in a unique position to grant him one—even if it’s just for a night.
Drawn together by their mutual need for escape, the two of them fall into an arrangement of weekly meetings inside the cheapest hotel rooms Chicago has to offer. The encounters are not sexual in nature, but an unexpected intimacy blossoms between them over time. For Jonah, it’s one night a week of guaranteed safety. For Liam, it’s the first real friendship he has ever known.
But soon, the circumstances that exist outside their private series of rooms begin closing in around them, reminding them that they can’t live in a bubble forever.

At this time, Love in Print ships within the United States. We're a small independent bookstore with big dreams, and international shipping is something we're hoping to offer in the future.

Tracking Your Order
Every order includes tracking. Once your package ships, you'll receive a tracking number via email so you can keep an eye on your order

Eligible Returns
We accept returns, exchanges, and store credit on eligible new books. Sometimes a book isn't the right match—and that's okay.
Final Sale Items
The following items are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded:

- Blind Date with a Book purchases
Return Window
Returns and exchanges must be requested within 7 days of your package being marked as delivered.
How to Request a Return
To begin a return or exchange, email us at hello@loveinprintbooks.com with your order number and a brief description of the issue.
Please wait for return authorization before sending any items back to us. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as Love in Print cannot be responsible for packages lost in transit.
Item Condition Requirements
To qualify for a return, items must be:
- Unused and unread
- In their original condition
- Free from damage, markings, or excessive wear
Items returned in a condition different from how they were received may be ineligible for a refund or exchange.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we'll notify you regarding approval.
Approved refunds will be issued to your original method of payment. Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Exchanges & Store Credit
Looking for a different title instead? Eligible returns may be exchanged or converted to store credit.
Store credit never expires and is a great option if you're still deciding which book belongs on your nightstand next.
